Owaisi meets Telangana Governor, urges him to request Centre for retrial against Mecca Masjid judgement
Hyderabad, Apr 19 (ANI): All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen Party (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday met Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan regarding the Mecca Masjid Verdict. After meeting with the state's Governor, the AIMIM said that the he requested the Telangana Governor to ask the Centre to either go for retrial or at least appeal against the Mecca Masjid judgement at higher courts so that the justice with the victims of the heinous incident should be done. "We requested Governor to not only convey our sense of anger, despair but also ask the Govt of India to either go for retrial or at least appeal against this judgement in the higher courts of law so that justice should be done," said Owaisi.
