Medicos in Himachal to go on strike on Jan 23 demanding safety
Shimla, Jan 21 (ANI): Nearly 2,500 doctors in Himachal Pradesh working in different government hospitals are planning to go on mass casual leave on January 23. The protest has been called by Himachal Pradesh Medical Officials Association, demanding safety of doctors and hospital staff. The doctors have given a demand charter to the state government on the issue. The association is also demanding implementation of 'Non Bailable Med Persons Act' in the heath sector of the state. Doctors further alleged that the state government is even ignoring the court orders. The association has warned to submit a mass resignation on February 24 if their demands were not fulfilled within a month time.
