MATCH FIXING IS A CRIME WHICH NEEDS INVESTIGATION
More than 40 professional tennis matches were flagged for potential match-fixing by international bookmakers in just a three month period last year, an average of more than three times a week. Eight players under suspicion from past or current investigations into match-fixing in tennis were also in the main draw of the 2016 Australian Open, according to reports. In an exclusive chat with NNIS, former British No.1 Tim Henman called match fixing in tennis a ‘crime’ and called for proper education to the youth on the issue.
