MASSIVE DAMAGE IN TEHRI DUE TO HEAVY RAINS, HIGHWAYS BLOCKED
At least 30 houses have been damaged and several cattle killed in heavy rains, which wreaked havoc in Ghansali town of Tehri district last evening. The rains also triggered landslides which blocked highways leading to Kedarnath and Yamunotri shrines. The Uttarakhand capital also witnessed strong thunderstorm, which uprooted several trees and blew off billboards. Electricity supply was also disrupted in parts of the city as many poles and wires were damaged.
