MANISH TEWARI, ALVI DEFIANT OVER CONGRESS GAG ORDER
Congress' bid to stop its functionaries from speaking in different voices ran into resistance, with two of its prominent faces refusing to follow the "gag" order. Manish Tewari and Rashid Alvi rejected the statement issued by the head of the media cell, Ajay Maken that only party spokespersons should speak to media. “Only the spokespersons as in the linked lists are authorized to speak on behalf of the party," Maken tweeted putting out a list of 18 designated spokespersons.
