Locals in Haryana risk their lives, travel atop trains to attend Gogamedi fair
Rewari, Sep 05 (ANI): This is the sight of Rewari junction railway station in Haryana. The jam-packed station crowd is waiting for the train towards Rajasthan to attend the annual Gogamedi fair. With increase in crowd every year and no additional trains during this season, locals risk their lives by traveling atop roof tops of trains as they have no other option. Passengers said that no extra facilities were provided by the authorities. Generally the railway authorities announce additional trains during specific occasions to manage crowd and make travel easy for the passengers. But the passengers going to Gogamedi fair are still not being taken under consideration by the authorities.
