India inks pact with Uzbekistan on development of IT academics and research

Tashkent, May 23 (ANI): India endorsed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan for upgrading the Jawaharlal Nehru Uzbekistan Centre for Information Technology at Tashkent to further strengthen the bilateral ties. This pact was signed in the presence of the visiting Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari at Tashkent. Ansari is on a four-day official visit to Uzbekistan. He also visited the Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and held parleys with the members of both the upper house as well as the lower house of the Senate. Earlier, on his arrival at the Senate, Ansari was welcomed by the Speaker of the lower house, Diloram Tash Mukhamedova. Ansari also visited the Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial at Tashkent.
