Idris Elba "Too Street' to Play Bond?
Get ready for the Twitterstorm. Rumors have been swirling that Idris Elba may be the next James Bond. But the author of the latest book in the bond series, Anthony Horowitz says Elba is…wait for it…“a bit too street for bond.” Hold up. We couldn’t believe it either. Horowitz says that although Elba is a terrific actor, he can think of other black actors who would do it better. For him, Idris is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue, he thinks he’s probably a bit too street for bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah. Say what? Isn’t Idris Elba one of thee most suave men in thee world?
