IPL betting scandal: Gurunath Meiyappan arrested, Srinivasan says won't resign

Mumbai, May 25 (ANI): Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of BCCI President N Srinivasan has been arrested for his alleged involvement in IPL betting scandal. Meiyappan will be produced before a metropolitan court on Saturday. He was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch after nearly two-and-a-half hours of questioning that began at 9.30 pm. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings has distanced itself from Meiyappan. On Friday, India Cements, the owner of the Chennai Super Kings issued a statement clarifying that Gurunath Meiyappan is only an honorary member of CSK, not owner. Meanwhile, BCCI president N Srinivasan said that he will not resign from his post in the wake of his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan's arrest.
