Ganajagoran Mancha recalls horrors of liberation 1971 struggle through cartoon show
Dhaka, July 22 (ANI): The people's resurgence platform of Bangladesh, Ganajagoran Mancha, organized a cartoon show on Monday to protest against the country's Islamist party, Jamaat-e-Islami and war criminals accused of genocide during the 1971 liberation struggle. The organizers of the show also demanded death penalty for all the war criminals. One of the organizers of the cartoon show, Al-Noman, slammed Jamaat-e-Islami for supporting the war criminals. The 1971 war, in which an estimated three million people died in nine months, is a festering wound not only for those personally affected, but also for many young Bangladeshis.
