Footballer Turned Sprinter Hima Das Books Berth For CWG
Assam’s Hima Das in her first senior race in the women’s 400m , easily made the qualifying mark of 52 seconds set by the Athletics Federation of India for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The 18 year old clocked 51.97 seconds to win the gold. Her timing was over a second clear of second-placed Vijay Kumari GK (53.03) and MR Poovamma finished third with a timing of 53.38s.
