Farmers distressed as government fails to save agricultural land
Srinagar (J and K), Oct 22 (ANI): With the construction boom in Srinagar, the agricultural land in the city is shrinking day by day. Agriculture, the main source income for many, is on the verge of collapse thanks to a rise in the construction of commercial and residential properties. Describing his plight, a farmer said he was extremely disturbed. Over 80% of the population in the city depends on agricultural sector and farmers say that the administration has failed to stop the ongoing construction.
