Counting for local body's election begins amid tight security
Siliguri, Oct 07 (ANI): Counting for the three tier rural polls in the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad area began amid tight security on Wednesday in Siliguri. The municipal elections in Siliguri took place on Saturday, pitting the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Left Front in a face-off as voters queued up to cast their votes. The TMC's electoral supremacy will be challenged by the left Front in the key municipal election. Police commissioner Manoj Verma apprised the media that sufficient security measures are taken to ensure any mishap.
