Bombay HC allows Salman Khan to visit Dubai
New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted permission to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to visit Dubai for an awards show. Khan, who got a respite in the 2002 hit-and- run case after the Bombay High Court stayed his five-year conviction, is travelling to Dubai to attend the 'Indo-Arab Bollywood Awards' show on May 29. As per reports, Salman has been directed to submit Rs two lakh as cash security before leaving the country. A criminal court had earlier convicted Salman of culpable homicide on charges that he lost control of his car when driving under the influence of alcohol in 2002 and rammed into a group of people sleeping on a pavement. Khan denies being behind the wheel, contradicting the testimony of several witnesses. The high court will next hear the case on June 12.
