Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid offers prayers at Sufi saint shrine in Ajmer
Ajmer, Dec 22 (ANI): Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid offered prayers at the historic 13th century shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer in Rajasthan. Security arrangements in the city were beefed up during his visit in wake of Peshawar attack. Hamid arrived by a special helicopter and headed straight to the shrine. Hamid is on a six-day visit to India to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries. He is visiting India on an invitation by President Pranab Mukherjee, who visited Bangladesh in March 2013. His visit to India is the first by a ceremonial head of state of Bangladesh since 1972.
