As Calais empties, some still clinging to British dream
Workers were set to begin demolishing the notorious Calais migrant camp on Tuesday on the second day of a massive operation to clear the squalid settlement. The transfer process is said to be working well so far, but an estimated 2,000 people are expected to resist the evacuation, clinging to hopes of one day reaching England.
