Amitabh Bachchan to campaign for 'Banega Swachh India'

New Delhi, Sept 28 (ANI): Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who successfully led the campaign to eradicate Polio from the country, has now lent his support to the cleanliness drive 'Banega Swachh India'. The 71-year-old actor, who has been named the ambassador for this campaign, said he is proud to be associated with the cause as sanitation has been on his mind for quite some time. "I feel very strongly about projects like saving the tiger, polio and tuberculosis. For quite some time now sanitation has been on my mind and when this opportunity came I had to be a part of this campaign," Bachchan said during the launch of the 'Banega Swachh India' campaign. Bachchan said he learned the habit of cleanliness from his father, late poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who was very strict about it. He also assured that he will be working for this project till the time things change.
