Aamir's 'Dangal' deserves to be tax free: Javed Akhtar
New Delhi, Nov 30 (ANI): Not just Aamir Khan, ace lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar too feels the former's upcoming film 'Dangal' deserves to be tax free. The 71-year-old lyricist took to his Twitter handle to share his thoughts and wrote, "With out beating the pulpit DANGAL is s film about women's empowerment, love for sports and national pride. Deserves to be tax free." Reportedly, the makers of the upcoming biopic film would soon apply for tax exemption. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film would see Aamir playing the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, father of wrestler Geeta Phogat. The film that also stars Sakshi Tanwar and Rajkumar Rao, is to release on December 23.
