A Hindu observes fast in holy month of Ramadan with fellow Muslims in Gorakhpur
Gorakhpur, July 06 (ANI): As the holy month of Ramadan sets in, Lal Babu, a Hindu, in Gorakhpur city of Uttar Pradesh, begins to observe fasting with his fellow Muslim brethren.
Babu has been following this practice for about 29 years now. He inherited this practice from his father, who also used to observe fasting during the holy month. A toys and gift shopkeeper, Babu also arranges Iftaar, a meal taken to break the fast, for the Mulsims. Babu's cordial relations with the Muslims has earned him a great respect in the locality. The people of India have always lived in peace and harmony with each other, and Lal Babu's community services are a telling story of it.
