From his very childhood, he was gifted with the god-given qualities that played a major role in making him one of the greatest flute players in the world. Shashank, the magician of flute, was born in 1978 in Karnataka, Southern India. He is a leading classic flautist in the contemporary India as well as the youngest musician from South India. Shashank stormed into the music world at the early age of only twelve with a stunning flute performance at the Music Academy, Madras in 1990. However, his debut concert as a flautist was in Adelaide, Australia, a year ago at a mere age of 11. For his unique mastery in flute playing, Shashank has been applauded by the critics through out the world. In the very early age, he has even performed at many prestigious places of the world, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, India. This has made him one of the most acclaimed musicians of the world. He has provided the bamboo made flute to a unique place by his unquestionable technique and performance as well as talent in playing it. Shashank has thus gained a worldwide reputation for the contribution he has made and continuously making to the flute music in the world.
