Jharkhand Public Service Commission abbreviated as JPSC is an organization that conducts examination in Indian state of Jharkhand.

Jharkhand Public Service Commission abbreviated as JPSC is an organization that conducts examination in Indian state of Jharkhand. The commission with headquarters in Ranchi is entrusted with the task of holding competitive examination for recruitment on various administrative positions in the state.

The JPSC Jharkhand is in infancy as it came into existence under the provisions of article 315 of the constitution. The main motto of forming the Jharkhand Public Service Commission was to set up a body that can look after the recruitment for the administrative officer in state.

Jharkhand PSC conducts competitive examination in the forms of preliminary, mains and interview to select competent officers for the state bureaucracy.

At the first stage the Jharkhand Public Service commission organizes preliminary examination. Those who clears the prelims are allowed to seat for mains examination. Those successful in mains are called for interview before a final selection was made. These successful candidates are placed in the various departments of state keeping in view their merit and preference.

JPSC civil service examination plays a great role in selecting police and administrative servants for the state.
