In the year 1948 International Maritime Organization was formally instituted by the supportive assistance United Nations and other leading countries of the world to spearhead the maritime activities and forward it with greater acceleration as well as effacing the pollution in the sea. Headquartered in London, United Kingdom IMO is the largest maritime organization in the world to support the shipping activities and safeguard the protection of sea Water resource and ensure better as well as efficient use of ocean ways among the countries to ensure remarkable achievement in the world. The major administrative body of IMO is IMO council which is lead by its Secretary-General Mr. Efthimios E. Mitripoulos.
