But historic win of Samajwadi Party in the state in his leadership made news of Akhilesh Yadav a common affair. No one had imagined that this western educated boy of Uttar Pradesh could be able to bring a turnaround in the state politics but with passage of time people found in him a hero who is able to take state on the path of development.

Akhilesh Yadav is a member of parliament from Kannauj from 2000. His father Mulayam Singh Yadav is a prominent politician in the state of Uttar Pradesh and also on the state level. Akhilesh was born in Saifai village which is situated in Etawah district of UP. He studied some of the good schools of the country including Military School Jodhpur. Later he studied engineering in Mysore and Sydney. But the latest news of Akhilesh Yadav was not common as he shied away from the media.

The 2012 assembly elections transformed him as a mass leader from a son of a politician and his party achieved clear majority. Akhilesh Yadav became chief minister. Since then it is not hard to find news of Akhilesh Yadav in media.
