Dusty winds raise temperature in capital

New Delhi, April 18 (IANS) The maximum temperature in the capital shot up well above average Saturday, thanks to a dusty hot wind.

 

The maximum temperature settled at 38.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal while minimum was 23.8 degrees Celsius. Over the last few days, the maximum temperature had shot up to 40 degrees.

 

 

'The temperature is likely to rise and dip in the next few days, depending on the flow pattern of the wind. The dusty winds that have been blowing over the capital is likely to continue Sunday,' a meteorological official said.

 

 

The meteorological department has forecast a clear sky Sunday with maximum temperature hovering around 39 degrees Celsius.
