Alyssa Milano calls for more female-driven shows
Washington, March 31 (ANI): Actress Alyssa Milano has called for more female-driven shows, insisting they are more successful.
The 36-year-old, who starred as Phoebe Halliwell on the supernatural series Charmed, said that female lead roles contribute more to the Television Rating Point (TRP) since lady fans are more loyal viewers.
"I think people connected to the sister relationships and women fans are the most loyal in the business," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"It's absolutely true and it's why most of the female-driven shows do well and last longer," she added.
Stressing upon the commercial side of the suggestion, Alyssa added: "The women buy the most stuff so the networks can charge more for advertising." (ANI)
