New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) After Mohammed Azharuddin, it was the turn of another former India cricketer Madan Lal to join the Congress Party.
The all-rounder joined the party at a function in the capital Saturday.
'I will do both batting and bowling for the party,' he told reporters at the Congress headquarters.
Sharma was flanked by Congress general secretaries Janardan Dwivedi, M. Veerappa Moily, Mohsina Kidwai and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Anand Sharma.
Former India cricket captain Azharuddin joined the Congress Feb 19.
