Singh is King – the name itself justifies the character of Super Cool Akshay Kumar who appears in an all new avtaar in his recent movie ‘Singh is Kinng’ directed by Anees Bazmee.
But even before the release of the movie, it is caught amid controversies related to the Sikh community, their physical appearance as well as certain scenes that could hurt the sentiments of the community.
Aneez re-shot certain scenes but not all to avoid any mishappening hindering the release of the movie. He made it clear in a press conference that their motive is not to offend any member in particular or the community itself. Akshay also stated an apologetic note saying that if he has done any mistake then lord forgives him and he would try to rectify his mistake.
Akshay is paired with wild kat Katrina who has already given consequent blockbuster hits with Akshay. This way, Aneez plays safe by casting a sure-to-be-hit jodi together. The movie has a long list of star cast including senior actors like Om Puri and Kiran Kher.
Akshay plays a Punjabi Sikh in the movie who is a mischievous character and under strange circumstances, happens to become the king of the Australian Underworld. Now what leads him there and what awaits for him next is for the audience to discover.
The movie Singh is Kinng is a full time entertainer and as far as the music is concerned, the lyrics of the title song composed by UK bhangra band RDB, are already there on the lips of the youngsters. One song of the movie featuring world famous rapper Snood Dog was shot at the cost of Rs. 7 crores.
It is one of the year's biggest blockbusters going to hit the cinemas and multiplexes soon. The film's release is scheduled on August 8. So there is no reason to wait for the movie reviews. Just go and have the first hand experience yourself with the hottest stars of the glamour city.
