If Rahul Gandhi is projected as Prime Minister, Congress will win 272 seats, claimed a latest analysis done by politicsparty.com. The analysis explained that India is ready to accept Rahul as the prime minister, though the standpoints of the UPA allies are still in question.

Politicsparty.com conducted a poll on February 10 in all 543 parliamentary constituencies through a secret ballot system, in which 1000 persons voted, in each constituency.

The caste-community profile, age profile, occupation profile and gender were polled exactly in proportion to the demographic percentage in each constituency, politicsparty.com said.

In its voter attitude poll, the query was: if Rahul Gandhi is the Congress party Prime Minister, which party coalition will you vote for?

The polling exercise found that Congress has the knack to win 50 seats from Uttar Pradesh alone which sends the largest number of MPs with 80. While the figure for some other important states are: Andhra Pradesh – 35/42, Maharashtra – 22/48, Rajasthan – 20/25, Tamil Nadu – 9/39, Bihar – 5/40, West Bengal – 15/42, Gujarat – 12/26, Madhya Pradesh – 12/29, Punjab – 8/13, Assam – 9/14, Orissa – 10/21.

However, the study also made it clear that the predicted figure can be achievable only with the projection of competent candidates, stirring communication campaign and a captivating agenda.

The analysis said that the present national agenda of Congress is unlikely to inspire voters and hence there must be a well structured national and regional agenda addressing the issues of the voters which can motivate them vote for the Congress candidates.
