Aug 13: Mona Suri was attacked by two men on the bike who poured acid and kerosene and doused her in flame. She is 80% burned and said to be critical battling for her life in Safdar Jung Hospital.
Her statement is recorded in which she told that one lady called Rachna could be involved in this brutal attack. As Rachana was obsessed to her husband Naveen and has once tried to run her car on Mona’s feet.
Her husband Naveen has denied of his involvement and any relation with the lady. But police investigation has kept an option open of his involvement as his relation was a matter of dispute between Naveen and Mona Suri. Rachana is said to be a friend of Naveen.
Naveen Suri was out on a business trip to Goa on the day of attack. He came when he was informed of the brutal incident.
Mona’s in laws too has suffered injury when they tried to extinguish the fire. Her family member told that Mona was being followed and getting many threatening calls.
Mona is a fashion designer and has two children.
This happened at Greater Kailas part second .And as usual security personal were not presence at the time when the incident took place.
Delhi has become the crime capital where no single day passes with the news of horrendous crime on the women. The city has become unsafe for the women and a breeding capital of crime.
State machinery is mute on their claim to nab the crime nexus and make the city safe.
