Bihar declares high alert ahead of Republic Day

Patna, Jan 25 (ANI): Bihar, which shares its eastern border with Nepal, has been put on high alert after receiving warnings from Maoist's, to boycott Republic Day celebrations.

 

Additional Director General (Headquarters) Neelmani said that special attention is being given to the naxal-affected districts and security has been heightened at vital installations.

 

The railways being a soft target for the militant groups, patrolling of tracks has been intensified to oppose any attempt of disrupting train movement.

 

Earlier, Maoist outfits gave similar warnings to six schools in Imphal.

 

However, the students and teachers there remained largely unaffected. (ANI)
