Police arrest Hizbul Mujahideen founder in Kashmir
Baramulla, Jan 15 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir police arrested Mohammad Ehsan Dar, a senior guerrilla leader and founder member of Hizbul Mujahideen from the Baramulla region on Wednesday.The arrest of Dar who also coordinated various terror activities has dealt a serious blow to the insurgency in the region.
Dar, former chief and founder member of Hizbul Mujahideen was arrested in a raid near Sumbal area of Baramulla.

"Police have arrested one of the most wanted terrorists Ehsan Dar, son of Mehmood Subhan Dar, who belongs to a village Sriwaroura near Patin," said Abdul Gani Mir, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Baramulla.
He further added that after returning from Pakistan in 1989, Dar had formed Hizbul Mujahideen and became its first commander.
Dar was trying to promote co-ordination between different militant organisations, said Mir.
"He had a specific task. He had come back as the chief co-ordinator of different militant organisations. He tried to get together on operational level the LeT, Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammed and other militant organisations," said Mir.
Earlier, two policemen and two members of LeT were killed in a gun battle at Rajouri in south of Kashmir. (ANI)
