Indore /New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): Over 250 people dressed up as Santa Clause took out a bike rally and distributed gifts to children in Indore.
The festivities were organised to spread happiness during the Christmas season.
Schoolgirls sang Christmas carols and many had 'Joy' painted on their faces.
"This is taken out because we want to spread the message of peace and trust through Santa Claus. We have painted the same message on our faces. Inspite of terror and other violent activities taking place in our country, we want to spread peace for which Jesus Chris was born in this world," said Symond Raj, a priest.
Meanwhile, Greenway school in New Delhi celebrated a Christmas function.
The school premises were lit up with over 5000 stars. A musical show was organised to mark the occasion and many social activists were felicitated for their service.
Tom Joseph, one of the organiser said the event was aimed to eradicate communalism.
"We want to send a message that all of us should work against communalism and should put an end to the terrorist activities which are troubling our nation at this juncture," said Joseph. (ANI)
