One MiG-23 (Trainer) aircraft of Indian Air Force crashed near Air Force Station Hashimara on Monday (November 17). The aircraft had got airborne from Hashimara air base and was on a routine training-flying mission. The pilots ejected safely.
The aircraft was on a regular training mission when it crashed at 12.36 p.m and there was no reported damage to the civilian property or individual was injured or killed as a result of air crash.
According to reports, a senior pilot was providing training to a junior pilot when the accident took place. Both the pilots ejected safely and an inquiry has been ordered to investigate the reasons for the accident.
The pilots were identified as Wg Cdr Sisodia and Flt Lt Kartik.
