Is movie 'Doubt' a rewrite of Jacko's child molestation trial?

Washington, November 13 (ANI): 'Doubt', which is a film adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's Pulitzer Prize winning play, is reportedly based on Michael Jackson's child molestation trial.

The movie possibly reflects the King of Pop's trial with its centre on a parish priest Father Flynn accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy.

According to Fox News, the film bears common circumstantial evidence with the wine, private meetings and the special attention given to the boy by the priest.

Shanley's drama, that has a nun suspecting Flynn of having improper relations with the boy and holds a private trial consequently, had made its Broadway debut in 2005 - the same year Jackson was tried and acquitted for sexual abuse allegations and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent.

The playwright himself has directed the impending adaptation in New York City that stars Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Viola Davis. (ANI)
