New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS) A 32-year-old journalist, fired from his job by a Hindi magazine a few days ago, committed suicide at his home in the Indian capital, police said Thursday.
Chanderkant, who had worked for the magazine for a year, was found hanging in a room at his Saraswati Vihar home by his wife Sunita late Wednesday. He was declared dead at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.
The police said they found no suicide note but quoted the distraught family as saying that Chanderkant was under stress since being sacked. The dead journalist is survived by his wife and two children.
