Nasik, Dec 15 (ANI): Suneil Anand, the son of veteran Bollywood actor Dev Anand, who died recently in London, immersed the ashes of his late father in Godavari River in Maharashtra on Wednesday.
Suneil Anand arrived in Mumbai and then headed to Nashik city to perform the last rites.
The actor's ashes were immersed in a sacred pond on the banks of the Godavari River.
A prayer service would be held at the famous Mehboob Studios in Mumbai on Friday to commemorate the actor's contribution towards Indian cinema.ev Anand was cremated at Putney Vale Cemetery in London on December 10.
The actor was in England to do a recce of locations for his next film and passed away after suffering a massive cardiac attack on December 3 at the Washington Mayfair Hotel in London. He was 88. (ANI)
