New Delhi, Oct 24 (ANI): M.B Samaga, editor of 'Dehali Kannadiga' a Kannada monthly published from Delhi, has been selected for this year's prestigious 'Aravinda Kannada Award' for the contribution to the language outside Karnataka.
'Nadoja Pratishtana', which instituted the award, announced Samaga's name for the award here today.
Dr. Srinivas Kulkari, Secretary of the Pratishtana said the award includes a citation, plaque and Rs 5,000 in cash, will be given at a function to be held in Belgaum on December 4.
Samaga is editing 'Dehali Kannadiga' since 1983 and has organised 28 national Kannada sammelan in Delhi and 10 all-India Kannada literary and cultural conferences in different places including Kanyakumari, Kathmandu, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. (ANI)
