Washington, Oct 22 (ANI): Coldplay seized the chance to perform at late Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs' memorial on Wednesday, as they felt that his inventions have helped up and coming musicians tremendously.
Jobs, the man behind iTunes and iPod passed away earlier this month after losing a long battle with pancreatic cancer and related illness and the 'Yellow' hitmakers were invited to pay tribute to the legend during the company's in-house memorial in Cupertino, California.
"He (Jobs) was a pioneer and someone that helped us an awful lot. As we were coming up, he was always very supportive", Contactmusic quoted drummer Will Champion as saying.
The drummer was moved by the outpour of love at the memorial.
"It was all the Apple employees and it was just a really heartfelt, beautiful ceremony," he said.
"It was nice to see a big businessman, who people seemed to really love. He was a good guy as well as being a hardcore Ceo," band's frontman Chris Martin added. (ANI)
