New Delhi, Oct 13 (ANI): Condemning the assault on Supreme Court lawyer and Team Anna member Prashant Bhushan, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni on Thursday said violence is not the solution for resolving any matter and the matter would be investigated thoroughly.
"The government's stand has been very clear since years. Prashant Bhushanji may have his own stand, he had expressed his stand and in future also he can express his views. But, I strongly condemn what all happened yesterday in his chamber. Violence cannot be the solution for resolving any matter. Violence should always be condemned and I hope that this matter would be investigated thoroughly," Soni told media persons here.
Bhushan was beaten up by two youth suspected to be from Sriram Sena in his Supreme Court lawyers' chambers on Wednesday as they were upset with his stand on Jammu and Kashmir.
Reacting on the recovery of explosives from a car parked outside the Ambala Cantt Railway Station, Soni said it is a matter of concern and the security agencies are investigating the matter.
"Similarly, where ever RDX (explosives) is found or wherever anything, which would cause harm and disruption of normal life; it does become a security concern. Now I don't know all the circumstances under which RDX has been found; I am not aware of it in Ambala. But obviously the security machinery will look into it and arrive at what happened and why it got where it did," she said.
Averting a major tragedy, Delhi and Haryana Police seized a large amount of explosives, including detonators and timers from a car parked outside the Ambala Cantt Railway Station last night.
The car was bearing a fake Haryana registration number.
The explosives have been sent for forensic test. A team of National Security Guard (NSG) from Delhi has been rushed to the spot, police said, adding the nature of explosives was being studied. (ANI)
