Washington, Oct 1(ANI): The man charged with stalking Shania Twain has pleaded guilty in a court in Ontario, Canada.
After a day and a half of live video testimony by the distraught 46-year-old singer, Giovanni (John) Palumbo, the accused, pleaded guilty to one charge of criminal harassment and one charge of breach of recognizance for being within 500 yards of Twain at the Juno Awards last March in Toronto.
"He's devastated that she's afraid," Radar Online quoted Gary Barnes, the defendant's lawyer as saying.
"He never intended for her to feel that at all...but he realizes that because of his actions, he had that effect on her and that's why he pled guilty," he added. (ANI)
