New Delhi, Fri, 09 Sep 2011 ANI

New Delhi, Sep.9 (ANI): The death toll in Wednesday's bomb explosion outside the Delhi High Court has risen to 13 with the death of Patiran, a 65-year-old engineer in a hospital here on Thursday.

Patiran hailed from Tamil Nadu. M S Bitta, the chairman of the All-India Anti-Terrorist Front (AITF), condoled his demise, and added that two to three more victims are still critical.

Meanwhile, investigating agencies have detained five suspects for questioning, including the owner of an internet caf? and some of his close associates, from where the e-mail claiming responsibility for the bombing was said to have been transmitted.

The owner, his brother and an employee of the Global Cyber Cafe at Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir were taken in for questioning.

Clarifying speculations on there being a shortage of medicines at hospitals where the blast victims were being treated, Bitta rubbished such rumors.

He also praised all doctors for attending to the blast victims promptly. (ANI)
