Washington, August 15 (ANI): Singer/actress Mandy Moore is hand-delivering mosquito nets to residents in Cameroon, Africa where malaria is the number one cause of death among under-fives.
The pop star flew to Cameroon last week with representatives from global health organisation Population Services International (Psi), for which she acts as an ambassador, as well as the U.N. Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign.
"I'm meeting the people who need these nets to stay safe from malaria - from two year olds to the Prime Minister," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
I'm proud to be a part of this historic effort that will save thousands of lives here in Cameroon, and grateful for the help of so many American supporters who are donating to make this possible," she added. (ANI)
