Ewan McGregor 'had secret battle with alcohol'

London, July 10 (ANI): Ewan McGregor has revealed that he has won his secret battle against alcohol addiction, which had made his life 'unbearable' and 'miserably unhappy'.

The actor said he turned to partying with the likes of Jude Law and Noel and Liam Gallagher as he struggled to cope with the pressures of fame after starring in cult drug film 'Trainspotting'.

"I haven't had a drink now for more than 10 years. It's a very self-centred way of being, you're not able to look out or empathise properly with people," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

"I found it just unbearable. I found it was an unbearable way of life and it made me miserably unhappy," he added. (ANI)
