Person burnt to death in road accident in Varanasi

Varanasi, June 25(ANI): A person was burnt to death when a truck laden with gas cylinders collided with another truck near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning.

 

As result of the mishap, the vehicle caught fire, triggering the cylinders to explode one by one.

 

Both vehicles were charred beyond recognition though fire tenders rushed to the spot to extinguish the blaze.

 

"This accident took place when a vehicle hit another stationed vehicle from behind. The helper's leg got entangled and he used gas cutter which caused fire," said a local Girish Kumar Dubey.

 

The accident also disrupted the traffic on the road, causing inconvenience to the commuters and other vehicles plying along the route. (ANI)
