Delhi's Sachika storms into semis

Delhi's Sachika Ingale outclassed her third-seed opponent Habiba Khan of Pakistan 9-0, 9-1, 9-5 to bring one of the major upsets of the Sunday and stormed into the semis of the women's category in the ongoing Hamdard-Delton invitational squash championship played at the Talimabad squash complex.

Muqaddas Ashraf, Zoya Khalid both from Pakistan and Saumay Karki of Bombay are the three other semifinalists in the women’s category, while in the men's Category, Pakistan’s Sandeep Jhangra, A. Parthiban, Amjad Khan and Qadir Ahmed made the grade for the semi-finals by winning their respective matches, making it an all Pakistan affair.

Another upcoming Delhi player Gunraj Singh made it to the under-19 quarters after convincingly defeating Md. Sheeban 9-0, 9-2, 9-0. Gunraj amended his previous mistakes, which he committed in the quarter-finals of the men’s category.
