Fine batting display by Rameej Niyamat (76), Lokesh Sharma (56) and Parmod Bhati (50 not out) helped Collage Sports Management beat LB Shastri Club by 74 runs to enter the finals of the 20th Sandeep Suri Memorial Cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

Brief scores: CSM 251/9 in 40 overs (Rameej Niyamat 76, Lokesh Shrama 56, Parmod Bhati 50 not out; Rajeev Mahajan 2/35) beat LB Shastri 177 in 32.2 overs (Tapan Jain 43; Abid Khan 3/25, Amardeep Singh 3/32).

Avtar’s valiant effort
Avtar’s valiant contribution of 70 runs went in vain as Punjab National Bank posted a narrow 10-run margin victory over Rani Bagh Club in the super elite group of the DDCA cricket league here on Wednesday.

Rohtak Road Gymkhana (RRG) scored a close 15-run win over SGTB Khalsa College in the pre-quarterfinals of the 12th Sahibzada Ajit Singh cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores: Rohtak Road Gymkhana 210 for nine in 40 overs bt SGTB Khalsa College 195 for nine in 40 overs (Ravi Dixit 40).

Delhi’s Sweta in ITF Junior semis

Delhi girl and fifth seed Sweta Solanki scored an upset win over second ranked Tanvi Shah 7-6 (5), 6-3 in straight sets to move into the semi-finals of the ONGC ITF Junior championship in Kolkata on Wednesday. The 132-minute encounter saw some run of the mill performance from both the players as they were found wavering with their serves.
Yatharth deadly

Deadly bowling performance by Yatharth Bhardwaj (7 for 15) helped Bal Bharti Public School beat St Columba's by a huge margin of 195 runs in the second Modern under-15 cup cricket tournament here on Wednesday.
