Pragati Maidan to host WLIF Week Autumn Winter 2008 in March

The audition for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week for New Faces Going Places shows number of participants from India as well as world.

Corina Bolintiru of Romania, Araceli Marianela of Argentina and Yana Malovska and Naty Slyusaryeva of Ukraine -were chosen as 'New Faces Going Places' model hunt on Friday.

The most awaited fashion festival organised by Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), with the title sponsored by Wills Lifestyle of the ITC group, is decided to be held from March 12-16.

“We are scouting for great looks, carriage, poise, personality and attitude on the ramp,” said Rathi Vinay Jha, Director General of FDCI.

“Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is an important platform to launch faces of tomorrow. The model auditions have been a great success in the past. Once again, we have received excellent response from applicants across India. We are looking for models who display confidence, have a sense of poise and attitude on the runway. I wish the participants the very best,” she added.

The jury members included designers Ranna Gill, Malini Ramani, Abhishek Gupta, Hemant Khandelwal, Anju Modi and choreographer Asha Kochhar.

Out of 55 aspirants only 17 reached to the final stage, but out of them only 10 models will get chance to show their talent by walking on the ramp in designer clothes thus this fashion fiesta is also a way to provide them with a platform to kick start their carrier.

A number of models now share the name of becoming the popular faces in fashion industry, thus this event is a launch pad for a number of aspiring models.
