Samsung Reveals The Release Date For Galaxy A3 (2017)

The South Korean tech giant, Samsung has been facing some tough times of late with its much hyped and talked about, Galaxy Note 7 being recalled. For those who are still not aware of this set back, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which was released amidst much fanfare, was doing pretty well for itself until there started coming reports about the failure of the battery. The battery was reported to be catching fire, and owing to the same Samsung recalled all the Note 7 devices to fix the problem.

But this hasn’t stopped Samsung from readying its next flagships, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017). Buzz has it that the release date of this new Galaxy device has been disclosed and along with A3 (2017), Samsung has a line of flagships including Galaxy A4, Galaxy A8 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2017), and Galaxy A7 (2017).

Though Samsung is tightlipped about the forthcoming handsets, it has certainly the details of its A3 (2017) is doing the rounds on internet. A device with model number SM-A320F was spotted on Zauba, a website tracking imports and exports in Indian market. The A3 (2017) has been sent for testing and is said to have 4.7-inch screen available at a price of Rs. 10,287 which could apparently see a change during the launch.

It is to note that the pioneering Galaxy A3 was unveiled in February 2015 ahead of its upgraded version, the Galaxy A7 (2016) which was released in December 2015. This is why it is expected that the Galaxy A3 (2017) will follow suit and get released in December 2016.

Specifications of A3 (2017)

As per the details that have been surfacing online, it has been reported that Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) features a 4.7-inch screen which has a 1,280x720 resolution. It is powered by an octa core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, with ARM Mali-T830 GPU, and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

As for memory and storage, the device comes with 8GB internal memory, along with 3GB RAM. At the camera front, Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) comes with 12MP primary camera having impressive features like the autofocus, flash, touch focus, face detection and for selfies it has 8MP front-camera.

The Samsung A3 (2017) is coming as the successor of the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) which as we know housed a 4.7-inch Super-AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels (312 ppi pixel density), and was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It ran on an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with 16GB internal memory that was expandable up to 128GB through microSD card. It had 1.5GB RAM, and the camera boasted of 13MP main sensor and 5MP front camera with a battery power of 2,300mAh battery.

So, let us wait for December 2016 and see how the A3 (2017) fares in the market so full of mid-range smartphones which promise some high-end features. But we really hope that Samsung doesn’t bring in many changes in the price as we have seen for now.
