It's time for another Samsung flagship - the South Korean smartphone giant has made its Galaxy Folder 2 official and the same is listed on the company's website.
As you can make out from its name, the new device is a flip handset. It is reported to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As for now, Galaxy Folder 2 is only listed on Company's China website, and the first sale is also supposed to happen here.

Newly announced Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 happened to be the successor of Galaxy Folder smartphone which was released in 2015. This device is simply listed on the website and there is not much known about the price as well as the availability. However, it is expected that the sale will first initiate in China only.
Talking more about the device, sources said that Galaxy Folder 2 even shares the similar design like the one which was launched in 2015. The 2016 model has however chosen to keep a few things different like the keypad, and choice of the new metallic silver. In general, it is seen that Android flip phone come with metal body, 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a physical keypad.
Other Specifications & Features
If you talk of other features and specifications, then sources say that the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is supposed to be sporting 3.8-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA display. It is backed by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. Moreover, the device is even said to be offering internal storage of 16GB which as heard can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card slot.
Furthermore, Galaxy Folder 2 comes with an impressive 8MP primary camera with LED flash and an f/1.9 aperture. In addition to that it even houses 5MP selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture. This new device is powered by 1950mAh battery which the company claims can easily last for long and offer 318 hours of standby time.
The device measures 122x60.2x15.4mm, and weighs 160 grams. In terms of connectivity, it offers you 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth v4.2. However, so far we don't have the update as to when will it will be released worldwide, and this itself is a doubtful case.
The reason for it could be the turmoil created by Samsung Galaxy Note 7, for the uninitiated, all the Note 7 devices have been recalled as the battery was reported to be catching fire.
Currently, Samsung is on a damage control mode and is fully focused on resolving the matter. Once this is done, we can expect the smartphone giant to unveil more details about the device.
