Samsung Galaxy Officially Unveils Its C5!

So far we were only dealing with speculations on the new C series supposed to be launched by Samsung. However, the time has finally come with Samsung Galaxy officially announcing the release of its mid-range smartphone - Galaxy C5 in China.

It is to note that in the past it was speculated that Samsung C series will bring out two flagships, the C5 & C7. While the C5 has hit the market, there's no information in regards to the unveiling of C7.

Coming to the all new Samsung Galaxy C5, the device sports nearly the same features as were speculated earlier.  Currently it's available on Samsung's Chinese website through FoneArena.

The Galaxy C5 is now on the company's Chinese website (via FoneArena). Let us here have a close look at the features as offered by C5:

Features & Specs

Galaxy C5 comes with a 5.2 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1,920×1,080 pixels (424 ppi pixel density) screen. The device boasts a full metal body with amazing built and has the fingerprint sensor on the home button.

Moreover, it comes backed by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 GPU. In terms of software, it runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It has 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The device measures 145.9 x 72 x 6.7 mm in dimension and weighs 143g.

In terms of storage and memory, the device has 32GB/64GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB through microSD card. As for camera, it sports a 16MP major camera with f/1.9 aperture and for selfies it has 8MP front-camera with f/1.9 aperture.

Talking of connectivity options, the Samsung Galaxy C5 supports Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.2, GPS and NFC. It is available in four colors -- Gold, Pink Gold, Silver and Grey.

The model has got released in China and the 32GB variant will be available for purchase at 2199 Yuan (approximately $335/Rs. 22,500) while the 64GB variant will be sold out at 2399 Yuan (about $365/Rs. 24,500). This new handset from Samsung is set for pre-orders in many of the online retail stores in China and as reported would soon be ready for sale from June 17.

So far, there are no reports as to whether C5 would see a release outside China or not. And as reported earlier, C7 is also in line.

C7 At A Glance

Though we don't have new about Samsung Galaxy C7, but leaked images of the device that surfaced online hint at several features. The device sports a 5.5 – inch Full HD capacitive touch screen display with screen resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has the dual SIM service from Samsung which allows it to connect with 4G LTE.

Furthermore, it comes powered by Octa – Core 1.5 GHz Cortex – A53 processor which is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled by Adreno 506 GPU. The new Samsung Galaxy C5 comes pre-equipped with the most recent and best ever Android v6.0.1 – Marshmallow OS.

Samsung Galaxy C7 is going to be available in three distinct colors: Gold, White and Black colors. In terms of battery, the device will have 3250 mAh of Li – Ion removable battery.

At storage front, the device is packed with 4 GB RAM and 16 GB and 32 GB of two dissimilar variants of internal memory. Both variants will have card slot that would allow expanding the internal storage up to 128 GB. The Galaxy C7 works on three carriers; GSM (2G), HSPA (3G) and LTE (4G).

Enhancing your camera experience, this new device comes with 16 MP of primary camera which has 4128 x 3096 pixels of camera resolutions and is backed by LED Flash for improved picture quality even in low light. For selfies, it has 5 MP of front shooter with LED Flash. Both of its cameras can record HD videos with clarity.

Coming to the price, Samsung Galaxy C7 is going to be available at a price tag of 1,799 Yuan (roughly $276 / Rs. 18400).
